Important Information for Joining Our Waiting List
To ensure the waiting list is efficient and fair, please take note of the following guidelines:
- Minimum Offer Requirement
We require a minimum of 3 days a week for all places. - Registration Policy
We only accept registrations after your baby is born and minimum starting age is 11months old. - Communication
We will communicate with you initially by phone and then via email, so please ensure your details are accurate and up-to-date. - Waiting List System
The waiting list operates like a waiting pool, meaning you are only in competition with families seeking similar places. As a result, some families may be offered a place before you, even if they have been on the waiting list for a shorter period. This is because they match the specific criteria for that available place. - Offer Process
When a place becomes available, we will email the first 3 families on the waiting list who match the criteria for that place. If multiple families respond positively, the place will be offered in the order of the waiting list. - Intakes
We have three intakes of new children per year, being in; January, April and September, therefore your child would only be able begin within those months. - Nursery Visit
Before you make a decision about accepting a place, you will be offered a visit to the nursery to tour the facilities and meet our staff. Visits are only given once you have been offered a place. To minimise disruption to the children already attending, visits are not offered earlier. - Annual Waiting List Reset
To keep the waiting list current and manageable, it will be reset annually on January 31st. You will need to re-register each February to remain on the waiting list. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this is necessary to ensure the list is up-to-date. - Flexibility
If you have flexibility with your desired days or start date, please indicate this in the note section at the bottom of the registration form. - Settling-In Process
We offer a settling-in period based on your child’s individual needs. This includes 6 free two-hour sessions to help your child adjust before starting regular sessions. After these sessions, we will work with you to create a tailored transition plan, which will involve shorter days until your child is comfortable.- We are an attachment-focused nursery, and this policy is non-negotiable. For more details, please refer to our Settling-In Policy in Parent Information.
You will receive an email confirmation once you have registered. If you do not, please contact the managers at enquiries@woodstnursery.co.uk
